The Easiest Way To Find High-Paying Affiliate Programs

By Danyon T. | Internet Marketing Advice

What’s up ya affiliate marketers!

It’s Danyon Togia here from Stopping Scams, and today I’ll be teaching you how to find great, high-paying, legitimate affiliate programs for you to promote so you can make some cash money baby!

Finding a great affiliate program is easier than you think – today, I’ll be showing you how to find them on Clickbank, but there are many other affiliate vendors that you can use, and I’ll give you a quick list of other affiliate vendors you use if Clickbank isn’t really your style.

With that being said, let’s get into the article!

So, what makes a great affiliate program?

When you’re looking for an affiliate program, you can’t just go out and pick the first program that you find.

There are two pre-requisites that need to be met:

  1. The product creator pays you great money for promoting their product, and
  2. The product improves your relationship with your audience/following

Firstly, you’re going to want to promote a person’s product who’s willing to pay you good money for becoming their affiliate.

However, you can’t just go to Clickbank and find the highest paying product that’s relevant to your niche; you also have to determine which products have a great conversion rate – there’s no point sending 100 people to a product that pays you $1000 per purchase if they have a 0% conversion rate.

For example, Magic Submitter by Alexander Krulik  has an average $/sale of $984.64 – meaning that with every sale of this product, the affiliate will make on average $984.64.

However, the gravity of this product is a mere 9.96 (gravity represents how well each product sells – this number is formed by the number of sales made of the particular product and how recent they were).

This means that not many people are actually promoting this product, and not many are making money from it either – despite the fact that it has a high average $/sale.

The key point that I’m trying to emphasize is that it’s ideal to promote a product that will pay you great money and at the same time has enough previous sales to validate that this product is worthy of promoting, has a great conversion rate, etc.

Secondly, you’re going to want to promote a product that actually increases the good will/relationship that you have with your followers.

This is just my theory btw – but the only reason why someone would buy something off of you in the first place is because they know, like, and trust you.

Therefore, the money that you make from your followers stems from the relationship that you have with your followers; ruining that relationship that you have with them also means ruining the amount of money you make.

So how do you find a product that’s worthy of you promoting?

It’s simple – either you a) have personally used the product for yourself, and have found it to have helped you and improve the quality of your life, or b) you know the product creator and have deemed him to be a trustworthy fella/gal that delivers quality information.

For example – I had never heard of Mike Cooch before purchasing his Simple Local Lead Generation product, but after going through it, I would deem it worthy enough to promote to my audience.

On the other hand, I’ve been following Elliott Hulse for 6+ years now, and even though I haven’t bought any of his health products, I can almost guarantee that what they are high-quality products judging by the amount of free information he’s already provided through his Youtube videos.

The actual process of finding great affiliate programs with Clickbank

Okay, now that we’ve covered the 2 pre-requisites for promoting an affiliate program, I’m going to teach you step-by-step the logistics of finding great affiliate programs.

For the sake of this article, I’m going to be teaching you how to use Clickbank, the top affiliate vendor on the ol’ interwebz.

To begin, you’re going to need to create a Clickbank account – click here to do so.

After creating your account, click this link here to be taken to the Clickbank affiliate marketplace. Once you’ve done so, you should see a website that looks a lil’ something like this.

On the left, you’ll see a ton of different categories. Click the one that’s most relevant to your niche. For the sake of this article, I’m going to go with one of my favorites, Health and Fitness.

Once you’ve clicked on your category, you’ll be taken to the results page where you’ll find all of the products that are available for you to promote to your audience.

As you can see, in the Health and Fitness niche, there are over 1500 products available on Clickbank for me to promote to my followers.

Okay, so we’ve found a bunch of products that are available to promote, but which one do we choose?

What I suggest you do is go even more specific to what your followers want. Scroll down to the left of the niche that you’ve selected, and find the sub-categories that you think your followers would enjoy the most.

For example, maybe you have a health and fitness-based following, but your followers are specifically interested in weight loss material.

In that case, wouldn’t it make more sense to promote great weight loss products to them, rather than other health and fitness products such as strength training or yoga workouts?

Once you’ve selected your niche and the subcategory that’s most relevant to your following, you’re ready to pick a product to promote to your followers.

As you can see, with Clickbank, you can sort the products by a ton of different metrics including popularity, average $/sale, average rebill total, gravity, and more.

Click here for an article on each metric that you can sort by and the pros/cons of them.

In my opinion, the safest option that you can go with is by sorting by gravity (remember, the higher the gravity, the higher number of affiliates who are earning money from that particular product). Sorting by gravity in the diets and weight loss subcategory gives us the following top-3 options.

So we’ve found a number of products that have proven to sell well and provide a decent commission.

However, just because these products have proven to have a high amount of sales from other affiliates doesn’t necessarily mean that the product’s great.

Remember pre-requisite #2 that I mentioned earlier? The product has to improve your relationship with your followers.

The best way to tell if a product is great is to try it yourself. If you go through the product, it fulfills its sales claims, brings you closer to your goals, improves the quality of your life etc. then it’s a great product.

You can purchase some of these products and get a refund if that’s something you’re wanting to do. You can also go through the list of products, type in “product name review” into google, and read up about the product that you’re wanting to promote; see what other people have to say about it.

Once you’ve found the product that you’re willing to promote, just click on the big red “Promote” button, chuck in your account details, and you’ll get an affiliate link that you’ll need to use to promote to your following.

When someone clicks on your affiliate link and purchases the product, the transaction will be traced back to your account, and you’ll get an affiliate commission!

Other ways to find great affiliate programs

Even though Clickbank is great and is one the top affiliate vendors on the internet, there are still other ways for you to find great affiliate programs.

  1. If you find a product that you’ve used yourself, and you know it’s a great product, google “product name + affiliate program” to see if they have an affiliate program available that you can jump on.
  2. There are a number of other different affiliate vendors that you can use other than ClickBank including JVZoo, Muncheye, or CJ. I haven’t used these other affiliate vendors that much, so use them at your own risk.

And that’s about it for finding a great affiliate program! Remember to fill the 2 pre-requisites and don’t just promote the affiliate program that pays the most – maintain the good will with your followers, and the money will come.

That’s all for today ya internet marketing fanatics!
