What’s up ya internet marketing fanatics!
It’s ya boy Danyon Togia here with a bit of an educational article for ya. Today, I’ve got a special treat specifically for you internet marketing newbies who are looking to start an online business but have no clue as to where to begin. By the end of this article, hopefully, you’ve gathered enough information to be able to launch your business so you can start raking in some of that dank mulah.
With that being said, let’s crack into it.
Ahhh – I remember the good ol’ days when I was first getting into internet marketing. I would watch people like King Human from Youtube to find ways to make money online so that I could quit my job as an administration support person (I liked to call myself an office b-word to make it sound a bit spicier) and begin working from home.
I wasted sooo much time just searching a bunch of videos and was quickly overwhelmed by the amount of information that this topic brought, which leads me to my first step which is to clearly define your business plan.
Essentially, this means that I want you to be very specific about the type of business that you’re going to launch. There are so many ways to make money online. For example, here are a few businesses that you can launch:
To dive even deeper into this step, you can ask yourself the following questions:
Essentially, just be VERY specific about what type of business you want to start, and then move onto the next step…
When I say set up the logistics, what I mean is that you’re going to have to set up all the technical jazz in relation to your business. This is dependant on the business type that you’re creating, and so you’re going to have to do a bit more research that’s tailored towards your business model.
For example, if you’re going to create a business in the health and fitness market, and you’re wanting to create a video course about “the fastest way to lose 30 lbs while eating pizza, ice cream, and your favorite junk foods,” then whip out the camera, create that bad-boy, and build a sales page with some good copy and images to help sell your course.
Here is a quick list of technical jargon that you may need to create when starting your business:
Remember, all the technical stuff is dependant on your business type – some of you may not even need a personal website and you can still make money!
Traffic is the life of any and every online business. Traffic is like the blood that pumps through your body, or like what peanut butter is to jelly. Traffic is like the Romeo to his Juliet, or the Snoop to his Dogg – traffic is essential! You could have the best video course in the world at the best price with the most valuable information on how to lose weight with the ol’ ice cream diet, but if you don’t have traffic, no one’s going to see it!

Now, there are a bunch of different ways to drive traffic to your business but lemme give you a quick breakdown of 2 critically important aspects of traffic which are quality and quantity.
The quality of your traffic is critical – ideally, you only want people to see your business who are actually interested in the type of business you run. And secondly, the quantity of traffic is obviously the number of people coming to your business. You want a combination of both quantity and quality traffic to have a successful business.
There are a number of ways to drive traffic to your business – here are a few for you to help you get started:
To finish off the traffic section of this article, I just want to tell you a quick story – one of my friends was hosting a webinar on how to lose weight. To drive traffic to this webinar, he created an event on Facebook and invited over 100 people on his friend’s list to it.
The night before the webinar began, I was curious to see how many people said they were “attending” it. Unfortunately, according to the Facebook event, only2 people were attending the webinar – him and his mom.
In this case, the quality of the traffic was lacking (i.e. people who actually wanted to spend 60+ minutes of their day to watch a webinar on how to lose weight), and this affected the quantity. Try and build a bit of good will with people before you start shoving your product/service offers down their throats.
The last thing I’ll say is this – it can be incredibly intimidating jumping into the internet marketing realm. With so much information taught by these so-called “experts” and scammy “gurus”, starting your online business can really be a nightmare.
My best advice to you is this: be extremely specific about the type of business you want to start, and get to work. Devour the essential knowledge on the business model that you’ve chosen, and then put it into action.
Don’t be like the majority of people who consume a ton of information and then are too scared to jump into the waters. At some point, you’ve just gotta say, “screw it, let’s go swimming.”
Catch ya later ya internet marketers!
