Ray Lane’s and Saul Maraney’s FB Live Wire Review: Real Deal?

By Eugenson | Negative Reviews

Their Promises

Ray Lane and Saul Maraney are promising to reveal the next big thing on Facebook through their FB Live Wire training. They say it’s all about an amazing, unknown new Facebook feature that will significantly improve the profits of internet marketers. They claim that their method shows students how to work smarter instead of working harder, and that it rakes in boatloads of money. They promise that their system will work for any business, no matter whether it’s brand new or experienced.

I’m not promoting Ray Lane’s and Saul Maraney’s FB Live Wire as an affiliate for commissions. This is only my objective review to help my readers determine whether or not this product is for them.

Summary: FB Live Wire Review

For folks who don’t have enough time to read the whole review, here’s the summarized version: Ray Lane and Saul Maraney did a good job of calling attention to a relatively new feature that promises money-making opportunities on Facebook.

But this isn’t for everyone. For instance, entry-level newbies will not gain much from this training because they need the basics of Internet Marketing before video live streaming will make any sense to them.

Besides, the concept of live streaming isn’t entirely new. Facebook only recently introduced it on their platform, but it’s been used for a long time. Whether you can make money with it or not will depend on your level of experience and how much you commit to it, as with everything else. See the details in the main body of the review.

I Bought the Facebook Live Wire

After I checked out, there was one upsell. I passed it up and proceeded to my purchase.

FB Live Wire Has Theory

For starters, I was disappointed to find that the FB Live Wire training wasn’t a set of hands-on tutorial videos. Instead, it’s a 74-page eBook. That might sound like some volume, but unfortunately, the first 16 pages of the eBook won’t prove useful to you because they’re just theory that won’t help your business.

Some of that volume is just the history of Facebook and Live streaming, while the rest of it is just the theoretical introduction of Live streaming, its benefits, and how it’s the next big thing in the Internet Marketing space.

They even delved into some statistics, providing figures of how other live streaming platforms such as Twitter’s Periscope, Google’s YouTube, Blab, and so on are performing. Though the history of these social media platforms might make an interesting read for some folks, that’s not the kind of information you need to get ahead in your Internet Marketing endeavors.

You might think that having taken that number of pages to dwell on the theoretical side of things, the authors would deem it proper to proceed into the meat of the training. But that wasn’t the case. Some parts of the second chapter also hold some theory.

This isn’t for Newbies

This training is for savvier internet marketers who have advanced beyond the beginner level. Those are the kinds of internet marketers who can plug into the methods taught in this eBook successfully. Therefore, if you’re a newbie, this will only confuse you because there’s a whole lot of beginner information that isn’t covered here. There’s nothing about how to pick a profitable niche/sub-niche or any of the other things you have to implement before thinking about creating and streaming your videos live.

YouTube Live Vs Facebook Live

Though the authors of FB Live Wire believe that FB Live is the best tool for live streaming, there’s nothing you can do with FB Live that you can’t do on YouTube. In order to stream your videos live on YouTube, you need a live streaming software such as OBS (which is free) or Wirecast (which is paid). But that’s also true of FB Live. They’re not really that different.

Facebook live the best

In fact, YouTube currently attracts more eyeballs than any of the video marketing media, live streaming or not. Admittedly, FB Live is an added marketing tool for savvy internet marketers who know exactly how to tap into its potential and reap its benefits, it’s nothing unheard of in the Internet Marketing space.

Live Streaming Downside

Live streaming has some downsides. The authors of FB Live Wire agree with that. One of them is that you have to be a top notch professional to shoot and stream your videos live without all the embarrassing crudeness of amateur video coverage. Live streaming doesn’t allow you to fine-tune your videos by editing them and making them as good as you would like before they are viewed by your target audience. You can only do all that at a later time after the live streaming is over and the public has seen the video – not cool.

Live Streaming Isn’t a Big Deal

The concept and practice of live streaming has been around for years. There have been a lot of webinars in the past that streamed videos live. Internet marketers have been using this medium for a very long time and are still doing so currently. Facebook is only just introducing it as an added feature to their platform. So what’s the big deal?

What I Liked About FB Live Wire

Ray Lane and Saul Maraney did a good job of calling attention to the relatively new feature of Facebook’s video marketing provision. Their eBook, the FB Live Wire, got practical as some point, showing readers how to go about setting things up for a live stream. Again, one advantage FB Live has over other live streaming media is that you won’t have to try notifying your target audience of an upcoming event through a different platform. It all takes place within Facebook. But Google’s YouTube also works that way if your channel already has subscribers.

Final Rating: C

Ray Lane’s and Saul Maraney’s FB Live Wire provides legitimate internet marketing training on how to stream videos live to achieve a broader range of publicity on Facebook. But it’s nothing new in the Internet Marketing industry. It’s certainly not for entry-level newbies who are looking to make their first dollar online, which is why I recommend you take this 100% free, newbie friendly training that shows you how to make money online, such that you too can be advanced enough to understand what video live streaming is all about and use it to take your online income to the next level.
