Matt Rhodes presents 12 Minute Books, which he says will show you how to write Kindle books that will make you money in 12 minutes. On his sales page, he asks the enticing question, “If You Earn $304 Per Month Per Book…And You Publish Books in 12 Minutes…How Many Books Would You Write?” He claims multiple books can be written within a short time, in a single day to make you money for a long time. He even claims that his system is so easy to follow, a nine-year-old followed it and published their own Kindle book. He says your Kindle book will be out there in minutes to make you money. Let’s see how true these mouth-watering claims are.
I’m not in partnership with Matt Rhodes to sell his 12 Minute Books for affiliate commissions. I’m only reviewing it to give you a sneak peek to help you decide whether you should go ahead with your purchase.
If you don’t have enough time to read the entire review, read this short version: Matt Rhodes’ 12 Minute Books teaches a legitimate way to make money online, but his sales page exaggerated the time it takes to write and publish a Kindle book on Amazon. Besides, as much as it’s a legitimate source of online income, there are some things you should know before you buy that weren’t on the sales page. For instance, you’ll need more money than you’re probably looking to invest into this business. You can make money with it if you’re able to cross all the hurdles. The details are in the main body of the review.
After I checked out, there was an upsell and a down sell, as I expected. I passed and moved on to my purchase.
The name “12 Minute Books” is misleading for Matt Rhodes’ Kindle book publishing training product, because it’s going to take far longer than the insinuated time to get a book ready for publishing on the Amazon Kindle store.
First off, the cover page of the Kindle book has to be professionally handled, which means you’ll have to outsource it to some freelance professional on a freelance platform such as Upwork, Freelancer, Fiverr, and so on.
If you’ve ever outsourced anything, then you’ll agree that going back and forth in correspondence with freelancers to get your job done is a bit of a hassle. 12 minutes will certainly not suffice for getting that part of one Kindle book ready, let alone the rest of the book.
Going by the method Matt Rhodes teaches in his 12 Minute Books training, one or two books won’t get you anywhere near your financial goals. For you to start seeing substantial results, you’ll have to roll up your sleeves and write a ton of books. It’s only by writing multiple books that your sales can add up to something significant.
If you’re reading this review, chances are you’re looking to buy Matt Rhodes’ 12 Minute Books because you’re thinking it might help you improve your finances online. That, in turn, means money is in short supply for you, or your finances just aren’t what you want them to be currently.
In the light of the above-mentioned speculations, I thought you should know that you’ll have to spend more money than you might be looking to spend if you follow Matt’s recommendations. That’s because, in his training material, he made it clear that you’ll need to outsource some, most, or all of the book writing process, especially if you’re not a writer.
Outsourcing to freelancers can easily set you back $50 to $5,000, depending on how much of the Kindle book writing you outsource.
You’ll also have to create and manage a website for your Kindle books, which is well worth the effort if you have what it takes to get a professionally built website up and running. But again, the challenge that comes with it is the strain it’s going to put on your budget.
Furthermore, there’s going to be a need for an opt-in page to collect the email addresses of your site visitors to enable you to stay in touch with them and send them notifications on your new Kindle book releases.
Getting an opt-in page requires that you sign up for an autoresponder service, which will also cost you money. In addition to that, Matt Rhodes recommends that you use paid ads to drive traffic to your Kindle publications.
There’s still more work to be done. Matt says for you to see the kinds of results he promised on his sales page, you might have to do stuff like sending your Kindle books to multiple publishers, sending them to multiple editors, advertising on social media, advertising on search engines, etc. You might also need to write press releases and articles for major newspapers and websites. Not to mention the need to run ads on your local radio and TV stations.
Matt Rhodes clearly states that he doesn’t have the time to show you every little detail of how to go about the various actions he recommends. So you’ll have to figure out a lot of that stuff on your own.
In his training material, Matt Rhodes showed his readers how to carry out keyword research on the Amazon platform in order to find what folks are looking for and subsequently choose the winning book topics to write on. He also shows them how to see what other Kindle publishers are doing to guide them in the right direction as Kindle book publishers.
Matt Rhodes’ 12 Minute Books is teaching a legitimate way to make money online through Amazon’s Kindle book publications. But Matt overstated how soon a Kindle book could be written on his sales page. Writing a Kindle book in 12 minutes isn’t practical. He said he was going to show his students how to do things in a step-by-step manner on his sales page, but stated in his eBook that he didn’t have the time to hold their hands through some of his recommended processes.
You can make money with it if you’re able to figure things out on your own and if you have sufficient funds to afford all the things you have to put in place. But chances are you’ll be stuck trying to figure things out all by yourself. Why should you hand over $7 and still grope in the dark when you have a better alternative such as this high quality, advanced, 100% free training that holds your hand and shows you how to make money online, and even introduces you to a supportive community of successful internet marketers who will guide you to your online success?
